Overview

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Fabrication, repair, and assembly of compressor packages in accordance to Flogistix specifications and standards. As well as, ensuring all company guidelines and safety rules are followed and met while preforming job duties. Primary duties involve fabrication and operating equipment includes but not limited to grinders, hand/plasma torches, bevel machines, saws, drills, power tools, welding machines and hand tools.

May perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

WORK REQUIREMENTS

  • Must pass welding test using the following welding processes: GMAW and FCAW
  • Must be able to use measuring devices and tools to include but not limited to tape measures, levels, squares, bastard files, pipe wrenches all sizes, valve wrenches, and flange wrenches, and 2-hole pins
  • Fitter knowledge
  • Must be able to understand rigging operations and operate lifting devices (overhead crane) for moving parts
  • Must be able to follow instructions given by supervisor
  • Must be able to work in hot or cold environments
  • Must be able to lift 50 LBS
  • Must be able to follow all EHSS policies and procedures
  • Will be required to work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
  • Will be required to keep shop and work area clean by performing daily housekeeping duties
  • Will be required to inspect and care for tools provided

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Background in welding, construction, manufacturing, or similar industries
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Fitter knowledge
  • Must understand how to interpret blueprints
  • Plans Layout, fabrication, tack-welds, and weld out components
  • Assemble, Bolt and torque studs in accordance to Flogistix torque procedure
  • X-ray quality welds and pass nondestructive testing
  • Understand and perform Hydro test

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)


EXPERIENCE:

  • Welding: 1 year (Preferred)
  • This is a “safety sensitive position
