Overview

We at Torque Industrial LTD are looking for a highly motivated, qualified and driven Journeyman welder to join our team. The Applicant must be well rounded with fabrication and welding both with and without blueprints. We are looking for someone who wants to grow as a tradesperson and work in a diverse multi faceted environment.

Key Role:

Fabricate and weld in both field and shop environments

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and perform repairs on equipment
  • Examine welds to ensure that they meet standard / specifications
  • Complete work for Structural/piping/custom fabrication
  • Follow all assigned drawings and instructions in a timely manner
  • Conduct all work in a safely and orderly

· Perform work in the shop and in the field out of a mobile truck

· Work in town and out of town

Competencies:

  • Working knowledge of the GMAW, SMAW, and FCAW welding processes
  • Proven experience with fabrication equipment and various other tools/equipment: hand tools, shears, drill press, pedestal grinders
  • Mechanical inclination is an asset
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • ability to work with a team and solo with minimal supervision
  • Understand and apply relevant math calculations
  • Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, designs, and welding process specifications

Qualifications:

  • Red Seal Journeyman ticket

Fabrication experiences an asset

  • Valid CWB tickets all position SMAW and FCAW
  • Preference given to individuals who have already industry standard safety certifications such as First Aid, TDG, WHMIS 2015, H2S, CSO, Fall Protection, AWP

Salary: $15.77-$40.00 per hour
