Overview

Foremost has an immediate opening for a full-time Welder for our Grande Prairie facility located in Hythe, Alberta. This position is responsible for ensuring continuous improvements and perform tasks relating to your classifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
  • Operated manual or semi-automatic welding: gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), and resistance welding
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
  • Operate metal shaping machines and other metal straightening and bending machines
  • Review blueprints and specifications; ensure drawings and specifications will function as designed in environment intended for use
  • Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Must be a qualified licensed tradesman or apprentice in the Province of Alberta
  • CWB tickets an asset
  • Maintains a set of tools to perform welding functions
  • Safety Training an asset but will train as required
