Heartland Constructors Inc. is recruiting Welder Journeypersons to join the CNRL Albian JPM Fall Outage project team on site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a temporary position working a straight through rotation. Day and night shifts available starting as soon as possible. 12-hour shifts, 8 hours of regular time plus 3.5 hours of overtime as well as overtime after 40 hours per week. Camp accommodations and charter flights (from Calgary or Edmonton) provided by the company.
INCENTVES:
Travel Allowance for ouside of the province employees provided for all Journeypersons and Aprentices.
LOA of $195 per day offered for employees staying in Fort McMurray.
Welders join or sever metals in beams, girders, vessels, piping and other metal components, make metal parts used in construction and manufacturing plants, and weld parts, tools, machines and equipment. Welders develop patterns for projects or follow directions given in layouts, blueprints and work orders, clean, check for defects and shape component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch and weld parts together.
Responsabilities:
Be skilful in the fusing of metals using prescribed welding applications
Have a working knowledge of the welding equipment involved with the various welding procedures
Comprehend drawings and develop layout patterns for projects and calculate quantities of materials
Have a thorough knowledge of metals, arc electrodes, welding gases and gas welding filler rods
Recognize defective welds; know the cause and proper procedure for the repair of the defective area
Have a working knowledge of mathematics calculations pertaining to the welding trade
Have a working knowledge of the required codes
Be familiar with the work of other trades people in affiliated trades
Perform assigned tasks in accordance with quality and production standards required by industry
Minimum Qualifications:
Certified Journeyperson and/or holds a valid recognized credential
Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or CSTS-09
Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry
Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection
Basic Rigging Certification
Valid Government Issued Identification
