At 4-Way Metal Fabricators, we specialize in the field of custom metal fabrication in the Greater Toronto Area. We are equipped to provide our customers with some of the highest quality precision metal fabrication in town, even when presented with just a drawing or a blueprint.

We are seeking an experienced welder to join and grow our welding department. You will be working closely with the production manager to develop and streamline the welding department as well as taking on the responsibilities of a lead welder. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, positioning, aligning and fitting parts of structural and non-structural metal products. Must be able to set up and operate MIG/TIG welding equipment. Having the ability to read blueprints is an essential asset however, this skill can be developed throughout employment.

Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate stainless steel, steel, aluminum and other metal alloy parts to shop order/drawings (MIG/TIG).
  • Operate a wide variety of machine tools including metal-cutting saws, grinders, drilling equipment and tapping machines.
  • Verify parts and ensure dimensions (overall size and bend angles) are correct.
  • Confirm quantity of parts to the shop order.
  • Keep all parts of an order together and move them to the next station as per shop order.
  • Skid parts for ease of shipping and identify parts if required.
  • Keep station clean.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of welding experience
  • CWB Certification
  • Forklift license is a valuable asset
  • Must be comfortable with: MIG-TIG
  • Able to weld steel, stainless, and aluminum
  • Must be able to communicate in English
  • Ability to read shop drawings/prints
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Helper will be provided for heavier jobs.

Working Conditions:

  • Working Hours are 7:30am-4:00pm, Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required but not mandatory.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
