Responsibilities & Requirements: Responsibilities:
Utilize MIG, TIG and stick welding methods on materials such as 300 & 400 series stainless steels, Inconel and a variety of steels
Set up and utilization of rotary positioners
Weld repair castings defects to restore casting integrity
Complete fit restoration on inside & outside diameters as well as shoulders and faces
Heat treat and anneal parts by method of Lucifer oven and document results
Complete hardness checks and document results
Maintain welder continuity logs in an online SharePoint site
Complete weld touch-up in various areas of the facility using portable welder
Complete fabrications of both plate and tube stock
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two (2) years welding experience
Ability to read and follow route sheets/Blue Prints
Must be proficient in welding with MIG, TIG and stick in materials such as 300 & 400 series stainless steels, Inconel and/or a variety of steels
Must have experience in set up and utilization of rotary positioners
Experienced with weld procedures, including pre-heats and post weld heat treats
Ability to read and interpret drawings using conventional tolerances as well as geometric tolerances
Complete own set-ups, trouble-shoot and solve problems with welding processes and results
Able to define, evaluate and discuss quality workmanship related to welding
Work overtime as required
Computer literate
Work well with people
Product/Process knowledge
Self –Starter
Preferred Experience / Skills: Preferred:
Vocational certification in welding preferred
QC testing/NDT knowledge would be a plus
