Overview

The Welder is primarily responsible for welding aluminum and steel products to part drawings or other instructions while maintaining quality work and a clean, safe work area. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Weld aluminum and steel products to part drawings or other instructions. Know TIG, MIG and ARC welding. Read and interpret blueprints, and use precision measuring equipment. Troubleshoot potential machine/machining problems as required, and assist on repairs. Manufacture quality products. Keep and maintain records, as necessary. Perform operations that may require heavy lifting. Be able to set-up welding equipment to proper specifications for material being welded. Maintain good housekeeping and safety standards, and be quality conscious. Maintain good attendance record, be self motivated, with a willingness to learn. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Must have a minimum of 1 year related experience and/or training. Certification in welding to American Welding Society standards. Must be able to perform basic math functions. Must be computer literate. Must be able to perform operations that may require heavy lifting. Must be Safety, Quality Conscious and dependable.
