Metal Fabricators needed (Scenic Metal Fabricators)
IATSE Local 891 – The union representing professional crews of the motion picture industry is seeking qualified and experienced, valid ticketed Metal Fabricators to construct, weld and fabricate various metal scenery.
The candidate must have 4 years of fabricating experience in metal work (structural and decorative) and must be able to work with steel, aluminum, stainless steel and various alloys. Must have WHIMS 2015 certificate.
The candidates must be able to work well within a team, and perform tasks as directed by their supervisor.
Valid aerial boom/scissor lift and fall protection certification are assets.
Short term contract work to start immediately in various locations within Metro Vancouver. This is the motion picture business, expect to work a lot of overtime hours. Shift work may be required as well as weekend work. This position is physically demanding.
