Description

HCC Mining & Demolition is a progressive and professional partner to Saskatchewan mining. We have been committed to safe and successful execution of underground contracts within the potash industry for twenty years. We value diversity and respect in the workplace.

We are currently looking for individuals to join us in a welder/miner position underground at the Lanigan mine site. A strong preference will be given to Journeyperson Welder

Experience, Skills and Abilities:
Must have a minimum of 3 years of industry experience, ideally with exposure to underground mining

Preferably hold trade certification as a Heavy Duty or Agricultural Mechanic

Must be a team player willing to participate in company safety and production requirements

Effective communication skills: must be able to carry out verbal instructions, read labels and signs, report progress or issues to supervision

Have good judgment and ability to make decisions

Responsible and dependable

Ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly through an entire work shift

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Able to pass any pre-access screening, including a Drug and Alcohol test

Valid Drivers License

Must be physically fit and able to work in various mining locations

Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts, day and/or night, typically on 7 days on, 7 days off work schedule

Previous welding experience, diesel tech experience, and/or hydraulics knowledge are considered strong assets
