Norstar Industries Ltd. is a family-owned manufacturer located just outside Rosenort, MB. At Norstar we build conveyance equipment for the agriculture, agri-industrial and industrial markets. Norstar prides itself in providing a market-leading product that is exceptional on every level. To do this, we need an exceptional team. We are now seeking a skilled Welder to join our Day Shift Team.

As a Welder you will manufacture and weld quality parts for conveyance equipment, safely and efficiently, as required.

Work Schedule:

Monday – Thursday – 6:00 am – 4:30 pm (4 – ten hour shifts)

Responsibilities of the Job:

Including, but not limited to the following:

  • Set up and weld parts using MIG welding (GMAW) processes
  • Operate and maintain the welder in excellent condition
  • Use hand tools such as grinders, flame cutting equipment, air and power tools
  • Read, understand, and follow blueprints
  • Keep work area clean
  • Keep up with production demands while working safely
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • MIG welding experience is an asset
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment an asset
  • Ability to set temperature and wire speed
  • Ability to handle varied welding tasks, as well as repetitive processes
  • Work well independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Welding Helmet and Steel-toed safety boots are required
  • Willingness to work Overtime if available
