Welder Offshore – (2103335)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Welder responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Assisting in planning the welding procedure qualifications and production, as instructed by the Welding Foreman

Ensuring sufficient tools and supplies are available onboard to allow the welding work to be performed efficiently

Ensuring that all welding is done in accordance with approved procedures

Conducting daily Tool Box meetings

Ensuring tool are maintained in a safe working condition

Ensuring welding leads and gas hoses are run in a congestion free and safe manner

Completing any other duties, that may be assigned by Welder Foreman

Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work in accordance with the established HSES Safety Standards and Work Practices

Ensuring that all activities are undertaken in accordance with all safety and quality requirements

Knowledge of DP vessel operations

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in the offshore construction industry

Knowledge and experience in Marine and Subsea operations with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role

High school graduate

Trade certificate in Welding

Basic supervisory training or equivalent experience

Valid Offshore Medical

BOSIET Training or Equivalent (OPITO approved)

Fluent in spoken and written English
