Overview

The Welder One is responsible for general welding and fabrication of the operation fleet, equipment, and building maintenance. Including repairs, improvements and new equipment fabrication.

Duties

Adhere to all shop policies and procedures within quality management system.

Perform general welding repairs, improvements and fabrication on oilfield service equipment.

Visually inspect equipment for proper performance and detect faults and malfunctions.

Understands blueprints and performs tasks as described.

Drive company equipment as needed.

Performs certified welds in GMAW/FCAW/SMAW

Operate shop equipment safely and efficiently to shop procedures.

Other project as assigned by Fabrication Supervisor or Fleet Manager. .

Work with Quality Manager to execute requirements of nonconformance procedure.

Amount of Travel Required: 25%

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Work Schedule: Maintains a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of industry – hours may be long and irregular.

Skills & Abilities

Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

Experience: Minimum of previous verifiable diesel mechanic and tractor trailer experience to a maximum 5+ years verifiable diesel mechanic work experience including Cat, Detroit, Allison, Cummins and hydraulics. Roles may range from entry level to experienced based on prior work history and skillset.

Strong computer skills an asset.

Other Requirements: Must have valid driver’s license, meet minimum driving requirements for company insurance purposes, and successfully pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.
