POSITION TITLE: Welding Parts Cleaner

DIVISION/DEPARTMENT: Weld Shop

REPORTS TO: Welding Supervisor

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of one to three years’ previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

This position is responsible for supporting the welding department by cleaning and preparing parts for welds.

DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Clean parts for welding department.
  • Must be proficient with hand tools.
  • Mechanical/assembly experience preferred.
  • Maintains clean and safe work area.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of safety and correct procedures for performing tasks to prevent personal injury or damage to product and/or equipment.
  • Has a strong personal standard when it comes to safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management.

Environmental Conditions:

Inside – 90% outside – 10%

Temperature Conditions: Controlled – in excess of 70 degrees- Occasionally
