Production Welder

Pay Rate is Based on Skill and Experience.

Job Description

This position is for a full-time welder with experience. Applicants must be able to perform difficult welding operations for complex assemblies, plan and layout welding sequence, referring to drawings, blueprints or specifications. May layout and mark weld points on parts or sub-assemblies using rule, square, or templates. May position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, or guides using measuring instruments and hand tools. Operate welding equipment, regulate current and voltage or gas and wire flow rate for proper penetration and fusion of metals. Obtain maximum weld strength, avoiding distortion and excessive weld at joints.

Qualification Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience welding
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions give, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations manual, and written directions (Work Orders)
  • Must be able to perform math calculations such as using fractions to solve manufacturing/assembly issues
  • Ability to read tape measure and drawings
  • Ability to maintain a safe work environment, achieve productivity goals, and be familiar with the quality standards
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude

Hours

Mon- Thurs. 6:00 am – 4:30 pm (possible overtime on Fridays)
