RESPONSIBILITIES
Fabricate and repair metallic parts through the setup and operation of automated PTA machines, torches, grinders, hydraulic presses, and similar equipment.
Layout and measure work carefully by using minor precision tools.
Uses, adjusts, cleans, and stores the tools, machinery, and equipment of the welding trade.
Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, conveyors, and similar handling equipment.
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
Performs other duties as necessary or as requested by the Shop Foreman.
REQUIREMENTS
High School education or equivalent, or as deemed sufficient by management.
Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, and communicate in English.
Ability to enroll as a first-year apprentice.
EXPERIENCE
Preferred two years weld operator experience
Note
This is a night shift position that works 10 hours/day on Tuesday thru Friday.
Night shift premium paid.
