Randstad is looking for a welder/shop assistant to work with an established manufacturing company on Jacksonville’s Southside. Must be able to pass an onsite MIG weld test and interview. You will work with prints and work instructions to determine the appropriate materials, tools, resources, and procedures for effectively completing processes. Position component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding. Melts and applies welding rod/wire feed along adjoining edges of work pieces to adhere joints. You will work Monday through Friday, 6 am to 2:30 pm and pay is starting at $16 to $18 an hour based upon how you interview.

Responsibilities
Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project
Sourcing the materials to be used in the project
Measuring and cutting materials to specifications
Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together
Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints
The essential functions of this role include:
wearing steel toe shoes
working in a non-temperature controlled environment
standing for 6 hours at one time
