Florida Express Environmental (FEE) is a local family-owned environmental services company with more than forty-five years in the solid waste industry. This position is perfect for a candidate who is looking to develop a long-term career in Welding with a company that is focused on growth. To succeed in this position, this individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties listed below satisfactorily.

Mig welding & torching various metal equipment and assembly bodies

Welding & maintenance shop fabrication services

Outdoor Welding Facility

Maintain required service work on all equipment

Support maintenance staff with projects as needed

Full Time, Monday – Friday.

Education/Experience: HS Diploma or GED Equivalent; 2 years welding/fabricating experience preferred.

Ability to read, comprehend and write simple instructions. Comfortable in one-on-one and small group situations when dealing with customers, clients, and other employees. Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Special Skills:
Mechanical Aptitude

Physical dexterity

Equipment proficiency: Forklift, Welding equipment, Hand tools, Power tools, Precision measuring tools, Drill Press, Hand router.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use their hands. The employee is frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
