Overview
Welder Shop Person
Responsibilities
- Read measurements, layout and fabricate
- Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements)
- Prepare the parts that must be welded
- Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
- Weld components using welding equipment
- Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces
- Maintain equipment
- Pick up and move materials
- Pick up completed project and stack on pallet
- Assist in Shipping
- Cleanliness is a must
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds
Skills
- Welding knowledge a must
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
- Attention to detail
- English Speaking
- Clean and Organized
- Positive Attitude
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 – $14.00 per hour
