Overview
JOB SUMMARY:
Performing all kinds of welding, brazing and cutting using gas and electric welding equipment on aluminum parts. Performing all kinds of spot welding using resistance welding machines. Joining, fabricating and repairing metal and other weldable materials by applying appropriate welding techniques. Grinding to assemble products and product parts to established blueprint and engineering specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving instructions, prints and work orders for the job.
- Fabricating products by cutting and welding various metals.
- Cleaning and preparing surfaces to be welded. Setting up, assembling and spot welding.
- Grinding angles, contours, lines, spheres etc. on to surfaces.
- Welding and/or Spot Welding aluminum parts.
- Supporting production schedules while safely performing work efficiently.
Job Qualifications:
- Highly skilled usage of Resistance Spot Welding equipment is required.
- Certificates required; completion of formal apprenticeship program or completion of in-company training program.
- Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent in the field or in a related area.
- Requires 2-3 years experience in the field of welding aluminum 0.05″, with a focus on TIG and Resistance Spot Welding.
- Requires a familiarity with a variety of welding field concepts, practices and procedures.
- Work involves varying degrees of precision and control.
- Considerable glare emits from work, which requires wearing of personal protective equipment.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds infrequently.

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
