Must have MIG/TIG experience and will be required to perform a weld test with their own gear here at our facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for fabrication of aluminum and steel material and assembly of product.
  • Position will also be responsible for quality of product through all steps of operation.
  • Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material.
  • Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straight edges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures

Education / Experience Requirement

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 5 years experience welding aluminum (mig and tig)
  • AWS Certification is preferred (previous certification will be considered)
  • Experience working in an environment where quality checks were required

Specific Skills Required

  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints and weld symbols
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
  • Good understanding of set up techniques
  • Ambition to learn new processes and suggest process improvements
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good communication skills – must speak fluent English, bilingual (Spanish) a plus
  • Self-starter with a team player attitude
  • Must be flexible with a positive attitude and strong work ethic

Physical Demands

Lifting, bending, moving heavy objects.
