Overview
Job Summary: Structural Welder/Alum Welder/Pipe Welder
Welds shell plating, fabricate cast or forged components. Welds parts in position for fabrication according to specifications on vessels, tanks, and other structural assemblies. Uses carbon electrodes to cut, shape, and groove metal. May prepare workplace for welding by cleaning and/or preheating. Examines weld sizes of weld beads. Cleans weld area and removes scrap. Performs other related tasks as assigned which may be essential to the position.
Qualifications:
Minimum of three years of journeyman level experience. Must be able to qualify in the following welding process, Carbon Steel – FCAW in horizontal, vertical, and overhead position with fillet, V-groove but joints, and ceramic butt joints and Aluminum GMAW – MIG in horizontal, vertical, and overhead position. Must pass plate test in all positions and pipe test on 6G restricted fix position using FCAW and GTAW weld process. Knowledge of welding characteristics of metal. Must be able to qualify in two gas shielded FCAW welding processes in the three positions. Knowledge of welding characteristics of metal. Must be able to work at heights, confined spaces, and any assigned shift. Must comprehend written and verbal instructions. Must be able to hear warning signals, read and comprehend safety instructions, regulations and warnings. Must be able to maintain general safety awareness and avoid hazards commonly present in work area.
Travel Expenses/Accommodation (Salary Deduction)
A one way plane ticket and hotel accommodation for a maximum of two (2) weeks will be provided. Travel and accommodation expenses will be deducted from candidate for two or more pay period after being employed.

Pay: $22.00 – $44.00 per hour
