The Position:

  • Work on a variety of Equipment used in Fabricating including drilling, plasma cutting, press brake and tube bending types of machines
  • Capable of welding MIG, and TIG
  • Capable of Structural as well as Pressure Welding – Test where required
  • Capable of Hand Layout from Drawings
  • Follow current Drawings when fabricating and welding product
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks
  • Follow Production Schedule and prioritize daily work accordingly – communicate any bottlenecks or flow problems to your supervisor
  • Understand and follow the “Pull” type systems in current use.
  • Improve efficiency and quality of processes, products, fixtures, and programs
  • Perform Metal fabrication on a variety of Fabrication equipment
  • Follow current Drawings when fabricating product
  • Perform regular maintenance on work cell equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines – report any safety concerns with equipment or procedure

Qualifications / Education / Experience

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • “Level C or B” Welding certification
  • Assertive self-starter and excellent work ethic.
  • Excellent written English and verbal communication skills.
  • High energy level with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • High School Diploma or college/vocational or technical training and experience.
  • 1-3 Years of experience in relevant field.
  • General mechanic knowledge an asset.
  • Capable of reading detailed assembly drawings.
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment and possess good interpersonal skills.
  • Valid Forklift certification is an asset.
