Overview
Responsible for performing welding operations to fabricate and repair variety of duties to support the direct labor operations of the Texas Warehouse.
Responsibilities and Duties
Weld defects to ensure product meets quality requirements and customer specifications
Perform painting, sand blasting, roller, wheel abrator and light assembly work
Perform Shipping, receiving and forklift operation
Perform facility janitorial
Determine procedures and types of equipment depending on metal type and size
Maintains clean work area, machines, tools and equipment
Performs any and all other job-related tasks as assigned by direct supervisor
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
Qualifications and Skills
High School diploma or equivalent
1-2 years welding experience preferred
Knowledge of tools and equipment specifications
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Experience with MIG welding machines and mild and stainless steel
Ability to work independently, detail oriented with strong communication skills
Physical Requirements
Standing – frequent to continuous
Walking – occasional to frequent
Bending/stooping/Squatting/Kneeling – frequent
Lift and carry up to 40 lbs. on an occasional basis
Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee operates in a loud noise level environment. This position regularly works near moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment and tools. This position regularly works in outside weather conditions at individual welding station.
Personal Protective Equipment
The employee must wear approved safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, face shield, leather gloves and steel-toed shoes at all time.
