Position Summary:
This is an opportunity for the right person to join a dynamic team focusing on quality and performance to exceed our customers’ expectations. Some of the duties of a Welder include but not limited to, are to operate equipment (e.g. calipers, scales etc.) to put together metal parts or structures. Complete small part assemblies for welding. Will help obtain certifications for the right candidate. Current open position at Fathom Round Rock include TIG welders.
Responsibilities:
Analyzing blueprints and designs
Following all safety and health procedures to avoid accidents and hazards
Operating angle grinders and other tools
Lining up specific metal components using calipers, scales, fixtures, and clamps
Produce quality in an efficient manner
Complete assemblies for welding
Work well with others and be a team player
Qualifications/Experience:
Technical knowledge of welding equipment
Must have 2 years of TIG welding experience
Must have experience with materials and the welding process
Must have experience with all types of Stainless steel and Aluminum
Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, as well as weld symbols
Ability to read measuring instruments to verify part quality
Own tools preferred
High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
Must be able to communicate in and understand verbal/written communication in the English language.
