Welder / Weld Trainee

We are looking to add an experienced Welder or (an inexperienced) Weld Trainee to our team. Even if you have not welded professionally, we can train the successful candidate! Our skilled team can help you grow your existing skill set into a career.

Responsibilities

· Produce quality work safely and efficiently

· Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures

· Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler.

· Tack-welds or welds parts, components and assemblies.

· Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded

· Weld components using welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)

· Inspect welded surfaces and structure for quality

· Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

Requirements

· Proven experience as welder or some prior (basic) experience with welding equipment

· Experience in using electrical power tools or manual tools (drills, squares, measuring tape etc.)

· Ability to read and interpret tape measure, technical documents and drawings

· Attention to detail
