ABOUT THE JOB

DART Aerospace is striving to become the world leader in helicopter mission equipment, related services and replacement parts. Reporting to the lead hand of the Large Fabrication department, the TIG Welder is required for production and fitter welding. Responsibilities include, the fabrication of metal structures using jigs and fixtures and the fabrication of custom prototypes from supplied drawings in a high paced production environment.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

*** Must be able to commute daily to our Facility in Hawkesbury, Ontario**

₋ Operate manual welding equipment to fuse metal segments using gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW).

₋ Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines.

₋ Review blueprints and specifications; ensure drawings and specifications will function as designed.

₋ Maintain safe work practices.

₋ Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATION & SKILLS REQUIRED

₋ High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

₋ Related trade certification.

₋ Five years of experience as welder in Aerospace industry.

₋ Experience with Aluminum and Stainless Steel TIG Welding.

₋ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

₋ Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

₋ Critical eye for identifying defects.

₋ Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.

₋ Ability to work in a lean manufacturing environment.
