Supreme Steel iscurrently looking for quality driven, experienced Journeyperson Welders and Apprentice Welders to join our production teamat our facility in Acheson, AB. These are full time unionized positions for night shift. Successful candidates for these positions must be conscientious, capable of interpreting all types of drawings, able to weld all types of work with minimum supervision and promote a safe work environment.

Preferred Journeyperson Welder candidates will possess the following attributes:

· Ability to perform welding of all types of structural steel work, using all positions

· Understanding of welding procedures

· Experience with Sub Arc considered an asset

· Demonstrated knowledge and adherence to safety procedures

· Ability to read and interpret drawings

· Journeyperson / Red Seal Certificate required

· CWB Certification required

With a proven ability to weld the types of work that are appropriate for their Apprentice level, the successful Apprentice Welder candidates will also possess the following attributes:

· Demonstrated knowledge and adherence to safety procedures

· Ability to read and interpret drawings

· CWB certification considered an asset

· Participation in AIT Apprenticeship program is required

Successful candidates will have a valid driver’s license will be required to pass pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Testing, as well as Physical Fitness to Work Mobility Testing as a condition of their employment.
