Overview
Responsibilities will include the fabrication of custom products from supplied drawings.
This position will work with Supervisors and Lead Hands to ensure continuous improvements in work groups, hitting quotas, and welding according to pre-set parameters using FCAW welding processes. Additionally the Welder will be required to read and understand production drawings, blueprints, work orders and other written instructions.
Job Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW) and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW).
- Maintain safe work practices
Requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
- Must have Journeyman & CWB Ticket / FCAW (all position)
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- First Aid knowledge an asset, but not required
Work Conditions
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Hazards associated with the trade

- Welding: 3 year minimum (preferred)
