Jardeg Construction is Contracting And looking for several Welders Helpers/Apprentices to work out of the Conoco Philips Surmont site South of Fort MacMurray. We are offering competitive wages, work / life balance, great opportunity for advancement, training, and potential for work over the winter.
Responsibilities:
Physical tasks, including digging, sweeping, sampling, lifting, shoveling, moving containers and other heavy materials.
Assisting Welders, in all aspect of the role.
Ensure safety fences / markings are all in place.
Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed.
Actively participate in all safety meetings
General site housekeeping
Qualifications:
Previous construction / Oilfield / Pipeline experience is required.
Understand how to use power/small tools such as plate tampers, carb saws, etc.
Ability to work long hours (12-hour days) outdoors in various weather conditions
Physical able to perform heavy manual tasks, including lifting, shoveling, moving heavy materials up to 50lbs.
Working understanding of site hazard assessments and able to complete daily safety documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
Be fit for duty and prepared for work each day.
Positive attitude / team player
Strong communication / listening skills and ability to follow direction
Knowledge of Welding
Valid Driver’s License
