Overview

Job Duties:

  • Fabrication of structural steel for the oilfield industry
  • Orbital Welding, Pressure Pipe Welding, Structural Welding
  • Read and interpret drawings and follow welding procedures to produce quality weldments
  • Weld to CWB standards
  • Weld duties to code, fit and weld structural, CWB certified
  • Preparation of materials needed for fabrication
  • Pull piping and structuring from supply racks or pallets for welding.
  • Perform manual lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.
  • Be aware of job numbers and allocate welder time & materials appropriately
  • Both Shop and Field welding depending on job scoop

Skill Requirements:

  • Journeyman Welder Certification
  • CWB certification (current)
  • Current Safety Tickets required: CSTS-2020
  • Current Safety Tickets preferred: H2S Alive, First Aid, Fall Protection, EWP (Elevated Work Platforms), Confined Space
  • Ability to lift up to 23kg
  • Proficient in written, spoken and reading English

Terms of Employment:

· Full time, temporary 2-3 months

· Wage: Negotiable (varies based on apprenticeship level, experience, and relevant certifications) in accordance to company wage bands based on confirmed credentials.

· Hours of Work: 7am to 3:30pm (8hours) or 7am to 5:30pm (10 hours) day shift

· Shift: 5 on, 2 off subject to change based on client/project requirements.

· Weekend work may be required.

· Overtime paid in accordance employment legislation

· Shop/yard/field work based out of Wainwright, AB

· Local residents required

· Benefits Offered: Eligible for benefits after three months of employment.
