At our Stratford Facility we fabricate and assemble components for heavy truck, defense and off-road equipment companies. We feature fitting and welding, metal forming, saw cutting, painting, assembly departments and manufacture everything from small components to large structures, sheet metal to heavy plate.
Shift: Afternoon: 3:45pm – 2:15am – 2:00am Monday -Thursday
Day: Days 6:45 am-3:15pm Monday – Friday
The Position:
We are looking for a skilled Welders who are able to weld fabrications and parts as per supplied drawings.
- Ensure all parts comply with the blueprint specifications and quality standards. Parts that are out of specification or damaged are to be segregated and quality assurance notified for disposition.
- Able to weld with mig and stick to required specifications. (GMAW, SMAW)
- Communicate and work with co-workers to develop fixture concepts.
- Perform welding and grinding duties as required.
- Work independently or as a team member.
- Work from complex drawings.
- Ensure all parts are prefabricated correctly to meet customer specifications.
- Work in a safe manner by following all Occupational Health & Safety Regulations, Company Policies and Procedures.
- Perform other duties as defined and assigned by department supervisor, or lead hand.
- Comply and perform all duties with the organizational set of standards.
- Initiate and continually strive for maximum production efficiency and attention to detail.
- Document and complete ITP( Internal Test Plant) reports
- Maintain a clean and organized working area.
- Upon completion of assigned work ensure adequate clean up and inspection of all weldments and fabricated parts as required.
- Knowledge of welding process and set-up.
- Blueprint reading
- WHMIS and MSDS knowledge of all substances
Your Skills Set:
- You have experience welding and fabricating
- You have a mechanical aptitude and wiliness to learn new welding skills
- You can read blueprints
- You are proficient at one or more of the following processes: stainless steel/carbon, Mig, Tig, Stick, Flux Core and Sub Arc welding
