Located in Cochrane, Alberta, Canada, we perform work around the world, in major forage exporting to installing and maintaining equipment in Australia, Europe, Africa, South America and the United States. Summary
We are looking for an Apprentice Welder to build and service our forage exporting equipment. This position would be based at our Cochrane, Alberta location and may require some international travel a few times a year.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Reading and Interpreting Drawings
- Fitting and Tacking
- Welding to a predetermined standard
- Maintaining equipment and a clean work area
- Operating forklifts and other necessary equipment
- Practice safe work methods- always
- Quality Control checks on personal and peer work
- Install welding and assembly in the field (travelling around the world)
- Repair Welding and Service Projects
- Assembly of components
Qualifications
- 1st or 2nd year Apprentice
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Strong sense of customer service and team work
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
- Ability to maintain a valid passport
