DCL International Inc. is a leader in the design and manufacture of catalytic converters, catalytic mufflers, diesel particulate filters and stock mufflers for the air pollution control of off-highway vehicles, stationary engines, industrial processes and specialized on-highway vehicles. DCL supplies to world leading engine manufacturers, original equipment manufacturers and aftermarket retrofit.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Robotically weld parts together according to drawings and specifications. All Robotic Welders must use tape measures and/or verniers to assure the proper location of welds.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed in the allotted time provided – must work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, Company rules, policies and procedures.
  • Inspection of all welds to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Assure that 1st off/1st part is inspected and meets Quality Assurance requirements.
  • Able to read and interpret the shop manufacturing drawings.
  • Basic maintenance of Welding and Set-up equipment in addition to ensuring gas and wire as required for the following shift.
  • Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or clothing as required.
  • Perform other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Only Canadian Citizens, PRs, or valid Work Permit holders will be considered
  • Grade 12 or GED required.
  • College or certification in manufacturing or technology seen as an asset.
  • Experience in maintaining robotic weld cells (programming and setting-up an asset).
  • Experience in the use of tape measures, vernier and other measuring tools.
  • Ability to read drawings, blueprints and specifications.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet while using tools to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Mathematical and mechanical aptitude. Ability to understand complex instructions, how schematics work and make sure items are designed and built correctly.
  • Strong problem solving skills – understand why machines are not at peak performance, how to increase output and how to fix errors.
  • Ability to work independently or with supervision.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time, 40hrs / week
  • Shifts: Day
  • Salary: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
  • Overtime: Paid Overtime (Weekdays & Weekend)
