Quest Global Engineering has an immediate opening for a Welding Technician to support the Girth Welding Automation Implementation at our Aerospace location in Wilson, NC.

*This position can be located in Wilson, NC; Rockford, IL or Windsor Locks, CT. If not located in Wilson, NC then a hybrid work environment with travel to site is necessary.*

Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in Automation Implementation of Girth Welding System including Design, Manufacture, Assembly, Testing, delivery, installation, and commissioning of equipment
  • Drive improvements in the following areas- Capacity, Yield, Efficiency and enable NADACAP accreditation
  • Environment includes office and shop floor duties
  • Significant telephone and computer activities

The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education and experience:

  • Certified in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding [GTAW]
  • 3-5 years’ experience in welding systems and project management
  • Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9 AM to 4 PM
  • Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
  • Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations (mileage reimbursed)
  • Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
