Job description

Reporting to the Shop Lead and General Manager, your main responsibilities will be fabricating/repairing window screens, patio screen doors and preparing retractable screens from provided measurements or samples. You will also assist the technicians with installs for our larger products. Keeping the shop clean and organized is also a top priority in this role.

The hours of this position can fluctuate based on customer orders and other shop projects which make it great for students as we can offer a flexible schedule during the school year. Full-time hours are guaranteed from early June to the end of August. Office hours are M-F 8:00-4:30, some evening or weekend work may be required/available. Visit premiumlivingvictoria.com/careers/.

Requirements

· Valid BC Driver’s license with an acceptable driver’s abstract

· Grade 12 education preferred

· Bondable and pass a Police background check.

· Experience with power & hand tools

· Effective attention to details

· High degree of accuracy

· Strong worth ethic

· Double Vaccinated for COVID-19

Recommended Skills:

· Understanding of imperial measurement

· Fundamental carpentry/fabrication skills

· Reading installation/fabrication diagrams

· Physically fit as heavy lifting is required

· Dexterity

· Quick thinker and problem solver

· Friendly and outgoing

· Good communications and customer service skills

Work Remotely

Contract length: 5 months

Salary: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
