Summary :
The Wire Welder is responsible for the set-up and overall operation of the Wire Welder and the quality of the work produced.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Reviews work order and pull jigs (as relevant) and order parts needed for specific job during set up process
Makes all necessary adjustments to the MIG welder per job specifications
First article and regular quality checks are required throughout the shift
Frequently matches the parts to the prints for accuracy
Completes proper ID tags with shop order number, part number, quantity and operation number
Must be able to maintain the required adjusted average efficiency
Use of proper Personal Protective Equipment required for machine/department
Maintains assigned work areas in a clean and orderly fashion
Operates forklift, as necessary
Responsible for housekeeping around the machine area
Performs other duties, as assigned
What you need to succeed:
High School Diploma or GED minimum
A minimum of six (6) months’ experience in a manufacturing environment
A minimum of six (6) months’ experience setting up machines
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and measuring equipment preferred
Forklift Certification required
Ability to work well in a team-based environment and individually
